What Pilot Ranks Are
OverviewThe Pilots Federation (Pilots Federation: The organization that oversees and represents the galaxy's independent pilots.) tracks four independent ladders — Combat, Trade, Exploration, and Exobiology. Each climbs nine named rungs to Elite; above Elite sit Elite I to V, pure prestige. You do not pick one — every ladder rises on its own as you do that work.
Each ladder climbs the same nine rungs to Elite, but on different work. Pick one to see its rungs, what each demands, and the ships that suit it.
Exobiology Ranks
Exobiology rank climbs on biological data sold at Vista Genomics — Odyssey on-foot sampling with the Genetic Sampler (The Artemis Suit tool that takes bio samples. Three per species, spread apart by the genus colony distance.) on your suit.
Each rung is a cumulative credit total. Sample three specimens of a species at the required distance apart to bank the full payout.

Important Tips
Be the first
Being first in the galaxy to log a species pays five times its base value. Fly far enough out that nobody has been there and both ladders climb on the same trip.
