Fast ship + A-rated sensors
Long-range sensors help, engineered if you have them. You are covering a huge debris cloud looking for rare contacts.

Sensor Fragments for Palin at Solati, plus Titan-graveyard and scout salvage for the pre-engineered modules.
Thargoid materials sit in the manufactured and encoded inventories with no trader line — you salvage the exact piece. Two jobs matter most: Sensor Fragments unlock Professor Palin, and the Titan-era commodities feed the pre-engineered Supercruise Overcharge (Supercruise Overcharge: A Frame Shift Drive that can dump extra acceleration into supercruise. Fast, thirsty, and hot.) drives and Azimuth modules.
Solati is an abandoned crash — hangar and SRV (Surface Recon Vehicle: The wheeled buggy you drive on planet surfaces. Needs a Planetary Vehicle Hangar.) are enough. Titan graveyards and scout signals ask more: a fast ship, collector limpets (A single-use drone that collects, prospects, repairs, or researches. Weighs a tonne and rides in the hold.), anti-corrosion racks, and an AX (Anti-Xeno: Fighting Thargoids. Needs Guardian or AX weapons — conventional hardpoints barely scratch them.) loadout if you are hunting Scouts.

The Titan cloud is caustic. Anti-corrosion racks protect the haul; limpets (A single-use drone that collects, prospects, repairs, or researches. Weighs a tonne and rides in the hold.) scoop the scattered spawns.
For NHSS (Non-Human Signal Source: A Thargoid signal in supercruise. The threat number tells you what is waiting.) Threat 4 / 5, bring anti-xeno weapons to gather Weapon Parts, Wreckage Components, and Bio-Mechanical Conduits from Scouts.
Sensor Fragments unlock Palin, and the easiest source is a crashed ship at Solati — under 28 Ly from Palin's lab at Arque. A Thargoid Sensor sits by the wreck; shoot it, scoop the fragments, relog (Logging out and back in to rebuild the instance, so a picked-over site respawns its loot.) to respawn.
Set down near the crash site and drop the SRV (Surface Recon Vehicle: The wheeled buggy you drive on planet surfaces. Needs a Planetary Vehicle Hangar.). A Thargoid Sensor object flashes and beeps near the back of the wreck.
Fire on it until it bursts into several scoopable Sensor Fragments, then scoop them with the SRV (Surface Recon Vehicle: The wheeled buggy you drive on planet surfaces. Needs a Planetary Vehicle Hangar.) cargo scoop.
Log out and back in to respawn the Sensor. The wreck also drops one of Vanadium, Chromium, Zirconium, Zinc, Manganese, or Antimony each reset.
The pre-engineered rewards from Titan Cocijo's death need scarcer stock. Titan Drive Components and Propulsion Elements only spawn at Titan graveyards. The parts for Azimuth's enhanced AX (Anti-Xeno: Fighting Thargoids. Needs Guardian or AX weapons — conventional hardpoints barely scratch them.) multi-cannons also drop from Thargoid Scouts in high-threat signals.
